
Add an egg
- Spoon tomato sauce
- Bread crumbs (I usually use my stale bread, baguette, but you can buy ready-made breadcrumbs too)
- Dried oregano which I roll between my palms
- Fresh basil, parsley / sage / thyme depending on what I have
- Salt and pepper
I roll the balls and put them into boiling water.
I have been known to enrich this with small pieces of bacon (I cut it with kitchen scissors).
Small cut of vegetables, softened in oil first (onions, carrots, zucchini, pepper)
Stronger spices: chili pepper, tobasco sauce, paprika creme.
My kids love it with ketchup, or a more substantial tomato sauce and pasta. Makes great lunch-thermos addition, alone or with pasta.
Turkey is a very mild tasting meat, it tastes less strong than the combination of beef and pork.
