
Stew is very easy, the only thing you will need is to think ahead because there is little work involved but long cooking time. If you have a tray of cubed stew meat, olive oil, onions, carrots, celery, and a can of chopped tomatoes, you are set. Chop the celery and peel and chop the onions and the carrots; put the vegetables into an oven-safe pan with olive oil and fry until softened about 10 minutes. Add your meat cubes and a tablespoon of flour, and you can add a little wine (red or white) and some herbs such as thyme, and salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and cover and put it into the oven. After 2-3 hours it will be soft and melting in your children's mouths.
