Almost-No-Cooking Basics
Here are my almost-no-cooking basics, my no-fail basics I go back to every week:
MeatballsMy kids love it with ketchup, or a more substantial tomato sauce and pasta. Makes a great lunch-thermos addition, alone or with pasta.
RiceVery little effort! Can be dinner all by itself! And it freezes well too for your emergency days.
PotatoesI have been know to pour a few tablespoons of white wine on this as well as adding a little pesto at the end.
PastaI have been experimenting with pasta lately, whole-wheat, quinoa, sprouted all worked for my children. If you are more cautious, you can mix them up though. My children have become fond of the green pastas.
StewStew is very easy, the only thing you will need is to think ahead.
