Upgrading Your Meal

A few quick upgrading tricks:

The Sneaky Chef
I can only endorse her idea! Adding vegetable puree to everything from pasta sauce to cupcakes is a brilliant first step if you struggle with feeding your kids healthy food.

Add Beans / Lentils
Whenever I need a little more substantial meal than what I think I've got, I add beans, lentils, garbanzo beans, or split peas.

Add Nuts
My younger son really likes pine nuts. I have been known to roast a handful in the pan and throw it on salads, pasta, rice dishes, on top of pies and muffins.
