


What can you do if your child is stuck on sugary carbohydrates (cereal, pastry pop-ups) for breakfast? Put a small bite of boiled egg next to the bowl of cereal.

Add a small bowl of yogurt with nuts.


If your child is willing to take the bite, ask how she feels after a few days of slighly more protein, higher-fiber breakfast. Does she feel full longer? How's her energy level at recess or PE class? Does her teacher notice a better attention span in school>
