- How can I involve my child?
Children take an active part in deciding what fruits to choose. Children may enjoy turning on the blender and wathching the smoothie mix. If you consider doing that, make sure you supervise it. An electric tool requires safe handling, but a mixer has an even more important aspect of safe handling: closing the lid properly before turning it on!
- How can I make the smoothie more substantial?
Add one tablespoon protein powder; peanut, almond, or hazelnut butter; oat bran, or oats to the smoothie.
- Once I have tried the basic smoothie for a few times, how can I bring variety into the routine?
In addition to the different fruits you can use almond, rice, or soy butter.
- How can I make it more appealing to my children?
Think of combinations your children like already, such as peanut butter and jelly, tropical island with pineapple or mango. You can also name the smoothie for fun and future reference, referring to favorite books or activities like: Magic Potion, Racers' Fuel, Breakfast for Francis.
